Organic Agriculture has been promoted in Taiwan for more than 30 years. The government has been focusing on regulations and the private sectors have been devoting their efforts on farming methods, organic processed production, organic dining, farm to school programs and organic markets.

Organic Agriculture has been promoted in Taiwan for more than 30 years. The government has been focusing on regulations and the private sectors have been devoting their efforts on farming methods, organic processed production, organic dining, farm to school programs and organic markets.

People in the organic industry concern issues about environmental sustainability, food safety and health. At the same time, they are preserving culinary culture and traditions as well as valuable techniques. Younger generation is encouraged to participate in the organic industry and bring more innovations to this industry. Different generations are finding their ways to the best practices of eco-friendly organic industry.

We hope organic food can facilitate the development of organic industry because food can connect producers with consumers. The food presents people’s dining habits and is a good tool to raise public awareness about farm to school programs, variety and species conservation, disappearing processing techniques, changes of culinary culture and even food shortage and waste.

In her book Harvest for Hope A Guide to Mindful Eating, Dr. Jane Goodall said the food plays an important role the world in the process of planting, harvesting, selling, purchasing, cooking and eating. Taiwan Organic Exquisite Association wishes to facilitate and create more opportunities of cooperation and development in the organic industry.
